About Us
The MDCC was founded in 1973 by and for people who find enjoyment and relaxation in the sports of canoeing and kayaking. The group seeks to exchange information, support preservation of our waterways, and, most importantly, promote skill development and safety while paddling in a supportive group setting.. We are affiliated with American Whitewater and the American Canoe Association. Our members have a wide range of boating interests and abilities, from placid cruising to Class V+ whitewater.
